DU increases number of seats

The number of seats has been increased for admission in the 1st year undergraduate (honors) class of Dhaka University in the academic year 2020-2021.

In this academic year, 15 students will be admitted to the Meteorological Department, a new department of A-unit for the students of the Science faculty. Therefore, the total number of seats has been reached at 7,133 this year, which was 6118 in previous. 

This information was confirmed in a press release sent from the public relations office of the university after the inauguration of the admission process. 

Out of the total 7133 seats, there will be 1810 seats in ‘A’ unit,
 2378 seats in ‘B’ unit, 1250 seats in ‘C’ unit, 1560 seats in ‘D’ unit and 135 seats in ‘E’ unit. 

VC Professor Dr. Akhtaruzzaman said the admission test for the 1st year undergraduate (honors) class will be held in the divisional cities including Dhaka to alleviate the suffering of students and their parents outside the Dhaka division.
