In October next, the country's main stock, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) will be shifted to its new building in the capital’s Nikunj. After an era of starting construction work, DSE is about to start their operation in the own house of Nikunja, relevant sources confirmed the information this noon.

It is learned that the DSE made a six-member committee to move into their new building on 31st October. The committee will make plans and move on to the new building. The committee will submit its work plan to DSE GM (HR and Admin) within the next 7 business days. The committee will be able to seek the assistance of other officers if needed.

According to the sources, DSE's office activities will be shifted to the Nikunj Bhaban on 31st October.

A 13-story building has been constructed on the DSE's own land in the Khilkhet-Nikunja area in the capital. Earlier, in 1996, the then Awami League government had allotted four bighas of land and at Tk 4 crore to the DSE in Khilkhet-Nikunj area (along the airport road). According to the DSE's annual report of 2011-2012, the potential construction cost of the multi-story building was estimated at Tk 132 crore.
