DITF reopened for last 3 days

The month-long Dhaka International Trade Fair started in January, was closed on Friday and Saturday following the election Commission’s (EC) order due to the city elections that was over just yesterday. The trade fair authorities reopened it today and will run till February 4.

Earlier, the Ministry of Commerce extended the time till February 4 when the Export Progress Bureau (EPB) sent a proposal to extend the fair, citing loss of traders.

As usual, the 25th edition DITF was started on the first day of the year January 1. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the trade fair.

This year, the number of stalls/pavilions is 483. Of these, the number of pavilions in different categories is 112, the number of mini pavilions is 128 and the number of stalls in different categories is 243. Of these, foreign pavilion number is 27, the foreign mini pavilion number is 11 and the number of foreign premier stalls is 17.

Apart from Bangladesh, Thailand, Iran, Turkey, Nepal, China, Malaysia, United States, United Kingdom, India, Pakistan, Hong Kong, South Korea, South Africa, Germany, Australia, Bhutan, Brunei, United Arab Emirates, Italy, and Taiwan have participated the international trade fair.
