Both coronavirus cases and deaths have increased in the country, as a result, lockdowns have imposed in the districts at risk of infection and deaths. A plan has already been taken to impose “countrywide lockdown”, said Dr. Robed Amin, spokesperson and line director of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
In a regular COVID bulletin by DGHS on Wednesday, Dr. Robed Amin said there will be no lockdown in the country at the moment. “However, if the situation is fragile and the infection goes above 20 percent in each district, the decision will be taken.”
He added the DGHS is currently seeing the infection situation in seven districts around Dhaka.
“If we can’t control them and the situation in Dhaka is fragile, Dhaka will be taken under lockdown in the beginning,” said Dr. Robed Amin.
