Bangladesh national team leg-spinner Aminul Islam Biplob's father has died (Innalillahi wa inna ilahi rajiun). He breathed his last in Dhaka on Thursday night. He was 62. The young leg-spinner got the news of his father's death while he was with the T20I team in Zimbabwe. He is returning to the country in the middle of the T20 series.

Aminul's father Abdul Quddus had been ill for some time. He was taken to hospital after his condition deteriorated. He died there.

Aminul's father had the biggest contribution behind his becoming a cricketer. His father did everything possible to fulfill his dream of developing Aminul as a cricketer by running CNG day and night despite poverty. He took Aminul to the country's famous coach Wahidul Gani.

After fulfilling his father's dream, Aminul made his debut in international cricket in 2019 by going through various stages of age-based cricket. The 21-year-old leg-spinner has so far taken 10 wickets in 7 T20Is.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board and the Cricketers' Welfare Association of Bangladesh have expressed their condolences over the death of Aminul's father.
