Covid-19 vaccination across Bangladesh begins 7 February

Minister Zahid Malik today said the government will start nationwide vaccination programme on 7 February.
He made the statement after visiting the Kurmitola General Hospital on Tuesday afternoon with saying "We will be successful in vaccination as well as in dealing with covid-19."
The health minister said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the vaccination drive on Wednesday virtually at Kurmitola General Hospital around 3:30pm on Wednesday, a total of 25 people will be vaccinated at the at the hospital. A nurse is supposed to receive the first one there.
Later 500-600 more people will be vaccinated at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Kurmitola General Hospital, Mugda General Hospital and Kuwait-Bangladesh Friendship Hospital the next day.
He said the Prime Minister would see five people including doctors, nurses, health workers, journalists and police, who will be vaccinated.
Regarding the registration of vaccine, he said that the registration of vaccines will start from the inauguration of the Prime Minister. However, people will also be able to register by visiting the health center.
