Covid-19 death toll tops 985,000 globally

The death toll from coronavirus tops 985,000 and the number of infections exceeds 32,317,000 in 215 countries and territories around the globe.
According to worldometer, so far, 985,452 people have died from the deadly virus infection out of 32,317,722 coronavirus cases across the world. However, a total of 23,824,052 have recovered from the virus.
The United States still tops in the list in terms of both infections and deaths having 7,167,861 people infected with the virus. Of these, 207,190 have died in the country.
Brazil, the Latin American country has the second-highest number of deaths from coronavirus. The death toll rose to 139,294. Besides, the number of coronavirus cases in the country has risen to 4,634,468.
In addition, India is in the second position in the context of coronavirus infection and at third in the context of deaths after the United States and Brazil. However, the death toll rose to 92,293. Besides, the number of coronavirus cases in the country has risen to 5,813,799 with more than 91,000 new cases in the last 24 hours.
Mexico is in the fourth position in the death toll from coronavirus infection with 74,949 death cases while the total number of victims is 710,049 in the country.
In December 2019, the coronavirus was spread from Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province, China. In the country of origin of the virus, so far 85,314 people have been infected. Of these, 4,634 people have died.
