Covid-19 death toll tops 959,000 globally

The death toll from coronavirus tops 959,000 and the number of infections exceeds 30,893,554 in 215 countries and territories around the globe.
According to worldometer, so far, 959,326 people have died from the deadly virus infection out of 30,893,554 coronavirus cases across the world. However, a total of 22,498,434 have recovered from the virus.
The United States still tops in the list in terms of both infections and deaths having 6,949,825 people infected with the virus. Of these, 203,486 have died in the country.
Brazil, the Latin American country has the second-highest number of deaths from coronavirus. The death toll rose to 136,035. Besides, the number of coronavirus cases in the country has risen to 4,503,002.
In addition, India is in the second position in the context of coronavirus infection and at third in the context of deaths after the United States and Brazil. However, the death toll rose to 86,699. Besides, the number of coronavirus cases in the country has risen to 5,392,666 with more than 92,000 new cases in the last 24 hours.
Mexico is in the fourth position in the death toll from coronavirus infection with 72,803 death cases while the total number of victims is 688,954 in the country.
In December 2019, the coronavirus was spread from Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province, China. In the country of origin of the virus, so far 85,269 people have been infected. Of these, 4,634 people have died.
