Covid-19 cases in Bangladesh crossed 4500 after 2 months, 78 die

Bangladesh today has reported 78 more Covid-19 deaths in the past 24 hours, taking the death toll from the pandemic to 13,626.
Besides, the overcall caseload has surged to 856,304 as 4,636 fresh cases were confirmed during the period.
The daily database on Covid-19 in the country has published by Prof. Dr. Nasima Sultana, additional director (administration) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Monday (June 21, 2021).
About 24,057 samples were tested across the country in the last 24 hours, yielding a positivity rate of 19.27 percent.
The recovery count rose to 7,85,482 after another 2,827 patients were discharged from the hospitals during the past one day. The recovery count stands at 92.42 percent.
Earlier on Sunday, 82 deaths linked to COVID-19, and 3,641 fresh cases were reported.
As of Monday afternoon, a total of 179,325,994 people has been diagnosed with coronavirus worldwide, as the death toll climbs to 3,883,514 while 163,883,930 patients have recovered, according to Worldometers data.
The coronavirus that was first reported in China in 2019 is now affecting 220 countries and territories around the world.
