Barcelona’s Brazilian midfielder Philippe Coutinho will miss the battle against Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday night after suffering a hamstring injury, the club confirms on Sunday.
Even Brazil is worried about Coutinho’s injury. Doubts have been raised about his presence in Brazil’s next two matches in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in Qatar. Brazil will face Venezuela at home on November 14 and Uruguay three days later.
Coutinho got injured while playing the match in the first El Clasico of the season against Real Madrid at Camp Nou last Saturday.
Based on the primary information, the Brazilian could miss about 3 weeks. Returning to the field depends on his physical development, Barcelona said in a statement.
