Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Javed Patwary said countrymen are living in peace today due to the welfare of the police. Efforts are underway to make the police force a modern one.

He said this while attending a victory celebration organized by Jashore District in Laz Palli in the Jorpool area of ​​Savar on Friday. 

"We are constantly striving to modernize the police force, which is a continuous process," the IGP said. Every year we have a number of issues in this process, including increasing manpower.

Besides, we are constantly striving to build a modern force by combining everything with capacity development, change of mind.

He said that the increase in the police force has resulted in the huge success of the police in combating terrorism and militancy and people of the country are now living in peace. They are very efficiently protecting the lives of the people.

Senior officials of the District Welfare Association of Jashore along with DIG Habibur Rahman of Dhaka Range were present on the occasion.
