Country lost 2 veteran actors in a day

Two veteran actors - Sadek Bachchu and ‘Ityadi’ famed actor Mohiuddin Bahar - in the country have passed away in a day.
Sadek Bachchu died from the coronavirus pandemic at 10:45 am on Monday while undergoing treatment at Universal Hospital in the capital's Mohakhali.
On Sunday, he had been kept on life support. Earlier on September 6, the veteran actor was admitted at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) due to shortness of breath and fever. He tested positive for the coronavirus on September 11, after being admitted to the hospital. On September 8, he was taken to the ICU as his condition deteriorated. Later, he was shifted to Mohakhali's Universal Hospital.
Sadek Bachchu had starred in many movies. He gained wide popularity by playing the role of a villain. Apart from movies, he also acted in various dramas on stage, radio and television.
Meanwhile, actor Mohiuddin Bahar, who was popular for his acting in popular magazine television show ‘Ityadi’, died at 5:00 am at the age of 73.
According to family sources, Mohiuddin Bahar had been suffering from various physical problems including heart and kidney diseases for a long time. He was rushed to Ibrahim Diabetic Hospital in Dhaka this morning from his Dayaganj residence after his condition deteriorated. The doctor pronounced him dead there.
Mohiuddin Bahar was born on December 27, 1948, in Laxmipur village of Motbi UP in Feni Sadar Upazila. He retired in 2005 as a senior assistant secretary to the government.
