Country logs 6 more COVID deaths in 24hrs

Six more people have died from the coronavirus in the country while 635 others infected in the last 24 hours.
With the latest fatalities and infections, the death toll from the pandemic has risen to 8441 while the tally of infections has surged to 549,184.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) informed in a press release on Friday (March 5, 2021).
Earlier on Thursday, 619 COVID-19 patients were diagnosed while seven deaths related to the disease were reported.
According to the release, the recovery count rose to 501,144 after another 676 patients were discharged from the hospitals during the period.
A total of 13710 samples were tested at 216 authorized laboratories across the country during the time.
The first coronavirus death was reported in the country on March 18, ten days after the detection of the first COVID-19 cases.
