Country is safe in Awami League’s hand: Obaidul Quader

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today said Bangladesh’s independence has come under the leadership of the Awami League, the independence and sovereignty of the country is safe in the hands of the Awami League.
“The Awami League has always been a popular and trusted organization among the people of the country. And to Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina, every inch of soil is like her own existence and under her leadership, the Awami League is working relentlessly for the betterment of the country,” he said while speaking at a press conference at his official residence in the capital on Wednesday.
Regarding the prevention of coronavirus, the Bridges Minister said everyone should be aware of the fear and prediction of the onset of the virus. “All should wear masks to prevent Covid,” he said.
The minister directed all social, political, cultural and voluntary organizations to conduct awareness campaigns among the people to curb the outbreak of the virus.
Mentioning that BNP means division and mistrust, the Awami League General Secretary said BNP has been practicing anarchy, murder and terrorism in the politics of the country since its birth. “The frustration and failure in the politics of the party is so great that the leaders and workers of the party cannot say anything normal without lies,” he said.
Even when the BNP was in power, they created walls of division and mistrust with the neighboring countries, the party General Secretary also said.
Obaidul Quader said the political future of the BNP is in danger due to anti-politics. So, they are busy running various propaganda. “The party is tarnishing the image of the country by opposing the government. Besides, they also destabilizing the employment of millions of expatriate workers abroad,” he added.
The Bridges Minister said the BNP is playing politics with communal evil forces and anti-independence activists. “How will the country’s independence and sovereignty be safe for the party? Since its inception, the BNP has been pursuing the politics of depriving people of their rights. So the people do not believe in them,” said Obaidul Quader.
