Coronavirus death toll tops 30,000 in Brazil

The death toll from the deadly coronavirus worldwide is on the rise in Brazil, although the infection rate has dropped a bit. The death toll in the country has surpassed 30,000.
According to the Brazilian Ministry of Health, 11,598 more people in the country have been infected with coronavirus on Monday. The number of infected people has increased to 529,405 people. Last Saturday, a record of over 33,000 COVID-19 cases had been identified in the country.
However, the death toll rose again on the same day. In the last 24 hours, 623 more people have died in the country. The previous day the number was 460. The total number of deaths has risen to 30,046.
According to the Worldometer, Brazil is now placed at second only after the United States in the number of victims. However, the country ranks fourth in the world in terms of the total number of deaths. The first is the United States with 106,927 deaths, the United Kingdom is at the second place with 39,045 deaths, and Italy is third with 33,475 deaths.
