Coronavirus death toll rises to 21 in Italy

Coronavirus, officially known as COVID-19, has rapidly spread in Italy. Four more people have been reported dead from the disease on Friday, bringing to 21 the number of fatalities in the European country among 888 confirmed cases. 

According to the Italian Ministry of Health, a total of 46 coronavirus patients - including 41 in Lombardia (Milan), two in Sicilia and three in Lazio - have returned home after cured with proper treatment. 

Bangladesh Ambassador to Italy Abdus Sobhan Sikder has urged expatriate Bangladeshis to be careful not to panic.

Under the circumstances, a help desk has been opened at the Rome Embassy. The victims have been urged to contact through dialled on 1500 and 112.

Meanwhile, no case of coronavirus has been reported yet in Rome, the Italian capital. So far, it was not also reported that any Bangladeshi expatriate was infected with the virus. It has been mentioned that about 2 lakh Bangladeshis are living in Italy.
