Coronavirus cases in US increasing rapidly

Coronavirus epidemic is increasing in the United States where more than 1035 people have been infected in the last 24 hours, according to coronavirus information website Worldometer. With this, the total number of affected stood at 1,05,161 with death toll 1722. The country has the highest cases in the list of most affected countries by the deadly virus worldwide.

US House of Representatives has approved a $2 trillion incentive package to fight against the novel virus, also known as COVID-19. The package was approved by the Democrat majority on Friday, two days after the US Senate approval.

This is the largest incentive package in US history. Under this, direct financial assistance is provided to the victims and institutions in the coronavirus crisis.

It has allocated $500 billion for affected industries and a maximum of $3000 for each family with a total of $290 billion dollars. In addition, $350 billion was allocated for small businessmen, $250 billion for unemployed and $100 billion for hospitals and medical equipment.

Novel coronavirus was first detected in Wuhan, China’s Hubei province in December last year. The epidemic has spread to about 200 countries and regions of the world in just four months. 

So far 629,387 people have been infected with the coronavirus and a total of 28,963 people died. However, 138,085 people recovered from the deadly virus.
