Coronavirus cases in Chattogram nears 15,000

Another 117 cases of coronavirus have been detected in the last 24 hours in Chattogram. With this, the number of people infected in the district has raised to 14,991.
Chattogram Civil Surgeon Dr. Sheikh Fazle Rabbi confirmed the matter on Saturday morning.
He said the reports of 909 samples have been received from Chittagong Medical College, Chittagong University, Veterinary University, Cox’s Bazar Medical College, Imperial Hospital, Chevron Lab, and BITID in the last 24 hours. Of these, 117 people tested positive for coronavirus in Chattogram.
Among the victims, there are 90 from the city, 9 from Raozan, 7 from Hathazari, 3 from Patiya, 3 from Sitakunda, 2 from Banshkhali, 2 from Boalkhali and 1 from Fatikchhari.
According to the Civil Surgeon Office, 3,061 people have recovered and returned home so far and 240 people have died.
