Coronavirus: Over 64,000 cases reported in India in a day

The coronavirus situation of India is being worsen day by day alarmingly as more than 64,000 people have been infected with the deadly virus in the last 24 hours   in the country. 

According to the latest figures updated by the Ministry of Health 64,399 more people have been infected in the last 24 hours in India, taking the total number of cases to 21,56,443. Nevertheless, 861 more people have died on yesterday while the death cases has raised to 43,488 in the country. 

India has overtaken the United States and Brazil for five days in a row in the terms of infected cases. 

Maharashtra has been in the worst situation since the onset of the coronavirus outbreak. So far, a total of 5, 03,084 people have been infected while 17,367 have died in the state. In Tamil Nadu 2, 90,907 people have been infected and 4,808 died. 

Meanwhile, despite the increase in the number of cases, the country's authorities optimistic that the recovery rate of coronavirus patients is also quite comforting as the rate of recovery is also increasing every day. A total of 1,481,825 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country so far, 68 percent of the total infected. 

According to the Worldometer, India has already surpassed Spain and France in terms of deaths.
