Commerce Minister will purchase cattle online

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi has expressed interest in buying cows from the online platform 'DNCC Digital Hat' for the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha.
He said this at the inaugural function of DNCC Digital Hat organized by Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) on Saturday. a2i and e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh will collaborate on this online platform for selling sacrificial animals.
Speaking as the special guest, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi said that this year's Eid-ul-Adha will not be like all other years due to Coronavirus. Therefore, the Prime Minister has taken various initiatives to protect the health of the common people. The online platform of selling sacrificial animals was the need of time to ensure health protection in the upcoming Kurbani. The initiative of DNCC Digital Hat has been taken to ensure the health and safety of the people.
The Commerce Minister thanked a2i, e-CAB and DNCC for the online platform for selling cattle. “I also want to buy cows digitally using this online platform and make sacrifices,” he said.
DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam presided over the function. Local Government Minister Tajul Islam was the chief guest there. Besides, special guests were Fisheries and Livestock Minister Sham Rezaul Karim, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Dhaka Divisional Commissioner Mostafizur Rahman, FBCCI President Sheikh Fazle Fahim were present among others.
Shomi Kaiser, President of e-CAB addressed the event. Khandaker Golam Moazzem, a senior researcher at the CPD was also present at that time.
