The damaged motorcycle and college student Shah Alam

A college student named Shah Alam was killed in a truck collision at Pakundia in Kishoreganj on Sunday evening.

The deceased was identified as Shah Alam, son of Ashraf Uddin of Ghosherkandi village under Kapasia upazila. He was a second-year student of Momtaz Uddin Ahmed Degree College.

According to police and eyewitness, Shah Alam was going home on a motorcycle from Mathkhola Bazar of the upazila around 6:30 pm on Sunday. At that time, a reckless truck from Narsingdi hit the motorcycle. Shah Alam was killed on the spot when he was crushed under the truck. However, his friend Imran, another motorcycle rider from the same village, remained completely safe.

Upon receiving the news, the police came to the spot and recovered the body. Later, the police arrested the truck driver Dipu along with the deadly truck. The truck driver Dipu is the son of Mojibur Rahman of Balia village in Palash upazila of Narsingdi.

Police Inspector Shafiqul Islam of Ahutia Investigation Center confirmed the incident and said that the body of the deceased Shah Alam has handed over to his family after an autopsy.
