Cold wave may continue

The severe cold wave is sweeping over Panchaghar district, said Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) in a release issued on Tuesday.

Besides, mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over the rest part of Rangpur division and the regions of Rajshahi, Pabna, Naogaon, Jashore, Chuadanga, Mymensingh & Srimangal and it may continue, predicted the met office.

It also forecasted that weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country in the next 24 hours ending at 9:00 am tomorrow.

Light to moderate fog may occur at places over the country during late night to morning. Besides, night and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.

The highest temperature in the country was recorded yesterday 30.8 degrees Celsius at Sitakunda in Chattogram division and today’s minimum temperature of 5.7 degrees Celsius at Tetulia.

The sun sets at 5.22 pm today and rises at 6.42 am tomorrow in the capital.
