Cold wave may continue and spread

Mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over the regions of Panchagarh, Nilphamari, Kurigram, Barishal, Dinajpur, Jashore, Chuadanga & Moulvibazar and it may continue and spread, said a met office release issued on Tuesday.

The met office also forecasted that weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country in the next 24 hours ending at 9:00 am tomorrow.

Besides, light to moderate fog may occur at places over the country during late night to morning, said the release.

Meanwhile, night temperature may fall slightly and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.

The highest temperature in the country was recorded yesterday 30.5 degrees Celsius at Sitakunda in Chattogram division and today’s minimum temperature of 7.6 degrees Celsius at Tetulia in Rangpur division.

The sun sets at 5.27 pm today and rises at 6.43 am tomorrow in the capital.
