Cold wave may abate

Mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur division and the regions of Madaripur, Moulovibazar, Naogaon, Jashore, Chuadanga & Barishal and it may abate from some places in the next 24 hours ending at 9:00 am tomorrow, said a met office release issued on Sunday. 

The met office also forecasted that weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country. Light to moderate fog may occur at places over the country from midnight to morning. 

Besides, night temperature may rise slightly and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country. 

The highest temperature in the country was recorded yesterday 28.3 degrees Celsius at Sitakunda in Chattogram division and today’s minimum temperature of 07.4 degrees Celsius at Tetulia in Rangpur division.

The sun sets at 5.31 pm today and rises at 6.44 am tomorrow in the capital.
