The Met office has issued great danger signal no.10 for Payra ports due to cyclonic strom 'Bulbul'. Meanwhile, the district administration has started work to evacuate people from Patuakhali coast to Cyclone Shelter.

DC Motiul Islam Chowdhury confirmed this at around 9.30am on Saturday.

Light to moderate rainfall has been continued in Patuakhali for the past two days due to cyclone Bulbul. The speed of wind has increased somewhat since last night and the sea is also witness acute tide. The river water has increased slightly above normal. People on the coast are also keeping an eye on online media and social media to find out the latest news of the disaster. Many are listening to television and radio.

Officer-in-charge of the Patuakhali Meteorological Office, Bashir Ahmed, said that Payra Seaport has been asked to show the danger signal number 10 instead of danger signal no 7. The rainfall was recorded at 27.5 millimeters from Friday midnight to Saturday morning.

DC. Motiul Islam Chowdhury said all preparations have been taken to tackle the disaster.
