The government has decided to hold a comprehensive lockdown for a week from April 14. At this time, the Bangladesh Film Exhibitors’ Association, the owners’ organization, has decided to close the country’s cinema halls.
They say the organization has decided to close all the halls centrally. For the same reason, the concerned organizations have informed that the “instructions to stop shooting of films and TV dramas” will be issued soon.
Salauddin Lavlu, president of the Directors Guild, an organization of playwrights, said, “We are going to take a decision to stop shooting. We are meeting with everyone. I will officially announce this on April 12.”
