Scientists admitted that the coronavirus vaccine made in China is safe for the human body and it produces antibody reactions, a report published in the Lancet Journal.
The vaccines were given to the people aged 18–80 years in where all vaccine recipients have been shown to respond to antibodies, responding happens slowly in the sixties.
Antibodies are being produced within 28 days among the people aged 18-59 years who received the vaccine, for older, it takes up to 42 days.
However, the study did not mention the effectiveness of the vaccine, so it is not clear whether it is able to protect people from SARS covid-2.
The Lancet says clinical trials of 42 vaccines are currently underway, one differs from the other. Some of these are already considered safe and capable of building resistance.
"Our findings indicate that a booster shot is necessary to achieve the greatest antibody responses against SARS-CoV-2 and could be important for protection. This provides useful information for a phase 3 trial," said Yang Xiaoming, one of the authors of the study and a professor from the Beijing Institute of Biological Products.
