China’s Yang Qian wins Olympics first gold

The medal round of the Tokyo Olympics has started. China, one of the favorite countries of the Olympics, has won the first gold. The 32nd edition of the ‘Greatest Show on Earth’ Olympics opened on Friday.
Yang Qian won gold in the Women’s 10m Air Rifle at the Asaka Shooting Range on Saturday morning.
Qian won the first gold of the event by scoring 251.8 points – which is the record for the highest number of points in the Women’s 10m Air Rifle in Olympic history.
Russia’s Anastasia Galashina finished second in the event. Galashina has been fighting hard with Qian. She got 251.1 points.
Switzerland’s Nina Christen won the bronze medal with 230.6 points.
