Children Film festival begins

The four-day `Bangladesh Children`s Film Festival 2017` will begin from today and will continue till December 31 across the country. Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) organised the festival to develop and development of the local film.

The festival will be inaugurated at 5 pm at National Chitrashala Auditorium. Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor will be present as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony. Besides, the welcome address will be given by BSA director of theater and director of the film Badrul Anm Bhuiyan.

Artist Mustafa Manowar, film organizer Munira Morshed Munni, Associate Professor of Mass Communication and Journalism Department University of Dhaka Sabrina Sultana Chowdhury will be present. BSA Director General Liyakat Ali Lucky will preside over it.

A seven-member jury committee will judge a total of 40 films.

Marking the festival, workshop titled `Film Understand` to be held on December 29 and 30 and a seminar would be held on December 29 at 4 pm at National Chitrashala Auditorium, the release added. Also, certificates will be issued to all the filmmaker on the closing day of the festival.
