The names of the fraudulent doctor Sabrina Chowdhury and her husband came to the fore in connection with the incident of providing fake COVID-19 reports without examining the coronavirus. Their names and many more ‘flinch-fraud’ came up after a detailed investigation into an organization named JKG.

According to the information obtained from the investigation into JKG, the health service provider company would have collected samples from different parts of the country including Dhaka, and provided fake coronavirus reports to 15,480 people without any test. From a laptop on the 15th floor of their office in Gulshan, they fabricated the test report and sent it to thousands of people by mail.

After inspecting the seized laptop from the company's office, such shocking information of coronavirus test forgery was found. It has been seen that a minimum of five thousand takes was taken per person for the test. And, $100 per person to foreign nationals. As a result, JKG has swindled Tk 7 crore 80 lakh by cheating in the name of the COVID-19 test.

Sources said JKG chairman Dr. Sabrina Chowdhury was a physician at the National Heart Institute. Her husband's name is Arif Chowdhury.

The couple's life is like a fairy tale. Sabrina is Arif's fourth wife. Arif has one wife in Russia and another in London. And he is divorced from another. However, even after the divorce, the ex-wife is begging to court in different places for Arif.

Investigators say the work of collecting coronavirus samples was originally carried out by Sabrina, an organization known as JKG. Initially, permission was given to set up a sample collection booth at Titumir College, but they were also collecting samples from other areas of Dhaka and many other districts through the influential power lobbing.

Husbands and wives would test coronavirus together but their marital life was not happy. There was deception about it. Arif Chowdhury beat up a doctor at Suhrawardy Hospital after seeing his wife in an indecent condition with him. Later in the incident, Sabrina filed a GD against her husband with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police station.

Besides, there is a case against Arif Chowdhury of Gulshan police station for making an indecent proposal to a JKG worker. Sabrina would use the identity of the BMA leader.

Finally, Dr. Sabrina, the chairman of JKG Healthcare was arrested on Sunday noon.

On June 24, six people, including Arif, were arrested in a raid on JKG's Gulshan office. They were remanded for two days. The two testified in court under section 164. Police seized several important documents, including a laptop, from JKG's office. A total of four cases were filed at Tejgaon police station in this regard. JKG had an agreement with the Department of Health to collect samples from suspected coronavirus patients. The agreement was canceled later.
