Charge sheet placed against Apan Jewellers owner Dildar

A charge sheet has been submitted against Dildar Hossain Selim, owner of Apon Jewellers, in a case for building stocks of the gold ornaments through “smuggling and dodging tax”.
Assistant Revenue Officer Delwar Hossain, the investigation officer in the case, placed the charge sheet in court on February 23.
The information was revealed by the relevant General Registration (GR) branch of the court on Tuesday.
Customs Intelligence filed five separate cases under the Money Laundering Prevention Act against Apan Jewelers on August 12, 2016, after seizing about 15 mounds of gold and diamonds by “dodging tax”.
Two cases were filed with Gulshan police station and one each with Dhanmondi police station, Uttara police station and Ramna police station.
