Chandpur reports 36 fresh COVID-19 cases

Thirty-six more people were tested positive for coronavirus in the past 24 hours in Chandpur, rising the district's cases tally to 1,079. While 64 people died from the virus in the district so far.
Among the new infected are 13 in Chandpur Sadar, 5 in Matlab South, 3 in Shahrasti, 7 in Faridganj (including 2 dead), 3 in Hajiganj, 2 in Kachua, 2 in Haimchar and 1 in Matlab North.
Meanwhile, two people from Faridganj who died with coronavirus like symptoms have tested positive for the virus. They died on July 3 in the isolation unit of the 250-bed General Hospital in Chandpur.
Chandpur Civil Surgeon Shakhawat Ullah said 36 new cases were reported after testing 129 samples in the past 24 hours.
Among the total 1,079 COVID-19 patients, 430 are in Sadar, 121 in Matlab South, 106 in Shahrasti, 108 in Hajiganj, 117 in Faridganj, 79 in Haimchar, 48 in Kachua and 71 in Matlab North.
Of the 64 dead, 18 are in Sadar, 16 in Hajiganj, 9 in Faridganj, 5 in Kachua, 6 in Matlab North, 4 in Shahrasti, 3 in Matlab South and 1 in Haimchar.
