Chaminda Vaas becomes Sri Lanka bowling coach

The Sri Lankan Cricket Board (SLC) has appointed former Sri Lanka seamer Chaminda Vaas as the national team's fast bowling coach for their upcoming tour to the West Indies.
SLC confirmed the matter in a statement on Friday, "Sri Lanka Cricket wishes to announce the appointment of Chaminda Vaas as the National Team’s Fast Bowling Coach for the Tour of West Indies. His appointment comes following the resignation of David Saker, who was the National Fast Bowling Coach, the country's cricket board tweeted.
Earlier, he was the fast bowling coach of the country's high-performance center in where the legendary bowler worked with emerging cricketers as well as national cricketers there.
With bagging 355 Test wickets in 111 matches 400 ODI wickets in appearance 322 times, Vaas is considered as Sri Lanka's most successful fast bowler who has been part of SLC's development program.
Sri Lanka will tour of West Indies from March 3 to play 3 T20s, 3 ODIs, and 2 Tests.
