Cautionary signal for river ports in country’s 20 regions

Rain or thundershowers is likely to occur in 20 regions over the country as monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh.
The river ports in these regions have been asked to hoist the cautionary signal number one in the next few hours till 1 pm from 5:00 am today, the met office said in a warning message early on Wednesday morning.
According to the release, “In association with rain or thundershowers temporary South or SouthEasterly squally wind speed 45-60 kph is likely to occur over the regions of Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dinajpur, Pabna, Bogura, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Madaripur, Kushtia, Jashore, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox's Bazar and Sylhet wherein river ports shall hoist riverine warning signal number one till 1 pm today.”
Meanwhile, the Met Office also predicted that light to moderate rain or thundershowers with wind speed 6-12 kph is likely to occur in Dhaka and its adjoining areas in the next six hours commencing 7:00 am today. Besides, the temperature may remain unchanged over the area during the period.
