Case filed over murder of 4 family members in Satkhira

A case has been filed over the murder of four members of a family in Khalsi village of Kolaroa upazila of Satkhira.
Moyna Khatun, mother-in-law of Shahinur Rahman, filed the case with Kolaroa Police Station on Thursday night without naming anyone.
Kolaroa Police Station OC Haran Chandra Pal said there was no doubt that it was a premeditated murder. All the law enforcement units including Police-CID are working to unravel the mystery of the murder.
He added that the mother-in-law of Shahinur Rahman, one of the victims in the brutal murder, has filed a case. Anonymous persons have been accused in the case.
The case was handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Satkhira. No one has been arrested over the incident yet, he added.
Earlier, on Thursday morning, Police recovered the throat-slit bodies of four people, including two children, from Khalsi village. The killers left another five-month-old baby, Maria, next to her mother’s body. The victims were buried after their autopsy.
