Campaign to stop movement of buses without route permit launched

The government has launched a campaign from Sunday to stop the movement of buses and minibusses without route permits in the capital Dhaka under the bus route rationalization campaign.
Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Public Relations Officer Md. Abu Naser confirmed the matter earlier to the media in a statement on Saturday.
The statement said the drive will be carried out in the area adjacent to the central office of Sonali Bank in Motijheel on Sunday at 11 am. As per the decision of the 16th meeting of the Bus Route Rationalization Program, a campaign will be launched to stop the movement of buses and minibusses without route permits.
It is learned that DSCC Executive Magistrate Tanjila Kabir Tripa led the mobile court and the joint operation.
Representatives of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) and Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) and DSCC Chief Property Officer Russell Sabrin were present on the occasion.
