Cabinet okays Madrasah Education Board Act draft

The Cabinet on Monday approved the draft of ‘Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board Act 2020’.
A regular Cabinet meeting was held at the Secretariat chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina through video conferencing from Ganobhaban. Later in the afternoon, Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam briefed reporters.
The Cabinet Secretary said the cabinet meeting had given final approval to the draft ‘Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board Act 2020’.
The Cabinet had approved a draft agreement to be signed between the Lumbini Development Trust and the Bangladesh government for the construction of a Buddhist monastery in Lumbini, Nepal, funded by Bangladesh, he added.
