The Cabinet today has approved the government ordinance to publish the results of Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations based on the results of Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Secondary School Certificate (SSC).
The ordinance was approved when the issue was raised in the Cabinet meeting on Monday.
It will now be sent to the Ministry of Law for verification after Cabinet approval. The draft will then go to the Prime Minister and the President for approval. The ordinance will be issued after the President’s approval, according to the Ministry of Education sources.
It is learned that the education boards have completed all the preparations for submitting the results to the Ministry of Education. After the ordinance is approved, they will hold a meeting of the technical committee and publish the results.
It is to be noted that there is an obligation to issue an ordinance to publish the results of the public examination in special circumstances. As a result, there has been delaying in publishing the results.
