Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam said the education ministry has been given the responsibility to decide on the reopening of the educational institution. Each ministry has been given the responsibility to take care of the jurisdictional offices.
He was responding to a question from reporters after an inter-ministerial meeting at the Secretariat on Tuesday to work out a plan for the second phase of coronavirus infection.
The country’s educational institutions have been closed since March 17 to prevent coronavirus. From March 26, all offices, courts, and vehicles across the country declared close.
A limited number of offices have been reopened since May 31, but educational institutions are still remaining closed. This holiday has been extended till October 3.
