A clash took place with police and activists of Chittagong University (CU) BCL leaders and activists demanding four-point demand.

The clash began on Sunday at around 12:00 pm.

Earlier, university’s BCL activists were conducting an indefinite strike for demanding four-point demand including the release of six Chhatra League activists of CU that were detained in arms case.

As a result, the bus movement in the university was stopped. Even the shops are closed. The protesters blocked the shuttle movement after blocking the railway line.

Confirming the matter to Daily Bangladesh, Hathazari Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Belal Uddin said the activists have closed the main gate.

“Their protest is going on. We are trying to keep them calm. Additional police have been deployed at the campus,” he also said.
