COVID-19 cases in India cross 65-lakh mark

According to the Union Health Ministry data, the total coronavirus cases in India exceeded 65 lakh, while the number of people who have recovered from the disease crossed 55 lakh. The recovery rate stands at 84.13 percent.
The total coronavirus cases mounted to 6,549,373 with 75,829 people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, while the death toll climbed to 101,782 with the new 940 deaths in a span of 24 hours.
The total recoveries have surged to 5,509,966, while there are 937,625, active cases of coronavirus infection in the country which comprises 14.32 percent of the total caseload, the data stated.
India’s COVID-19 tally had crossed the 20-lakh mark on August 7, 30 lakh on August 23, and 40 lakh on September 5. It went past 50 lakh on September 16 and crossed 60 lakh on September 28.
