COVID-19: Music director Farid Ahmed on ventilator

National Film Award winning music director Farid Ahmed was put on ventilator after testing positive for coronavirus. The music director is now undergoing treatment in the ICU of Square Hospital in the capital.
Farid Ahmed's fellow lyricist Farida Farhana confirmed the information on Sunday (April 11).
"After being taken to the ICU last night, his physical condition deteriorated. Later, he was put on ventilator around 4:00 am. The physician said that his condition was very serious and nothing can be said before 72 hours," she said.
In the last week of March, Farid Ahmed and his wife were diagnosed with coronavirus. Farid Ahmed was admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital in the capital on the night of March 25 when his condition deteriorated.
Farid Ahmed was then shifted from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital to Square Hospital ICU around 12:00 am on April 11. Meanwhile, his wife Shiuli Akter's condition is now well.
