CMP to launch Plasma Bank

Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) has taken the initiative to launch a plasma bank to apply plasma therapy for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.
A monitoring committee has already been formed to supervise the activities of the bank. CMP Additional Commissioner (Administration and Finance) Amena Begum is leading the committee where Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters) Amir Zafar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters) Mohammad Moinul Islam and doctors of the Divisional Police Hospital are the members.
CMP Additional Deputy Commissioner (Public Relations) Abu Bakkar Siddique said this on Friday afternoon.
He said the CMP commissioner has taken initiative to form a plasma bank with emphasis on apply plasma therapy in the treatment of COVID-19. In this way, anyone infected with coronavirus can take plasma apart from the police member.
He added that 39 CMP members recently recovered from COVID-19 have been included in the bank. Besides, the police have started work to create a database of the residents of the metropolis who have recovered from COVID-19. They are also being included in Plasma Bank.
