Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) has launched a mobile app to monitor people who are in home quarantined to fight coronavirus.

CMP Commissioner Mahabubar Rahman inaugurated the 'Safe, Stay Home, Stay Safe' app on the Damara police line in the city on Thursday.

He said the 'Safe, Stay Home, Stay Safe' app has been launched to monitor those who have been kept in-home quarantine to prevent coronavirus infection. This will confirm their position through Geo-Fencing Technology. In addition, if anyone tries to get out will be alerted by notification. The web-based admin will provide instant information to the police station's monitoring unit through the panel.

CMP Commissioner said that the app is launched with the help of INOVACE TECHNOLOGIES would be immediate, effective and time-consuming. Besides, the members of the police will be less at risk of being attacked.

He added that the app is currently monitoring 41 home quarantine people. Initially, the operation of this app has been started in 16 police stations of CMP. The program will be expanded gradually across the country.

Amena Begum, Additional Commissioner of CMP (Administration and Finance), Additional Commissioner (Traffic) SM Mostak Ahmed Khan, Additional Commissioner (Crime and Operations) Shyamal Kumar Nath were present.
