Burial of Jamuna Group Chairman at Banani

Freedom Fighter Nurul Islam Babul, Chairman of Jamuna Group, will be buried at Banani Cemetery in the capital on Tuesday. His Namaz-e-Janaza will be held in front of Jamuna Future Park after Zuhr prayer.
Monday afternoon, Dr. Mohammad Alamgir Alam, the director of the Jamuna Group has confirmed this information. He died at 3:40 pm in the ICU of Ever Care Hospital in the capital.
Dr. Mohammad Alamgir said his Janaza prayers will be held in front of Jamuna Future Park in a very limited range tomorrow after Zuhr. After that, he will be laid to rest at Banani Cemetery with state honors as a Freedom Fighter.
Different organizations and individuals including government ministers, MPs, deputy leaders of the opposition have expressed their condolences over the death of Nurul Islam Babul. They expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family of the deceased.
On June 14, Nurul Islam Babul's was found positive for COVID-19. He was admitted to Ever Care Hospital on the same day. His kidneys were damaged due to coronavirus. A 10-member medical board was formed under the leadership of Brigadier General (Retd.) Mahbud, a doctor of Ever Care, to treat this eminent industrialist. In addition, four specialist doctors from China and two specialist doctors from Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore gave advice via teleconference.
His wife is Salma Islam, a former state minister for women and children. Son Shamim Islam is the Managing Director of Jamuna Group, his three daughters- Rojalin Islam, Monica Islam and Sonia Islam are directors of Jamuna Group.
