British PM Boris Johnson remains stable in ICU

United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at St Thomas’ Hospital for the second day on Wednesday after being identified by the novel COVID-19 virus. Currently, his condition is stable, said the doctors of the hospital. 

“He is well and stable,” said Edward Argar, Minister of State for Health at the Department of Health and Social Care of the country, regarding Boris’s latest health condition. 

“He needs one to two months for a full recovery,” according to British tabloid the Daily Mail. 

On March 27, the 55-year-old Boris Johnson was diagnosed with coronavirus. He then went into isolation but taken to the ICU at St. Thomas’ Hospital on Monday for a sudden physical deterioration.

Doctors said he was provided extra oxygen due to breathing problems but did not need to use the ventilator.

In the absence of Boris, Dominic Raab, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom, is acting on his behalf.
