To link Bhola with mainland

Bhola, an isolated district of the country’s southern division is going to be linked with the mainland by 2025 as the government has taken the steps to build two bridges on the Bhola-Barishal route. The information was revealed in a review meeting of the Bhola-Barisal Bridge construction project on Thursday afternoon.

The meeting also informed that two bridges of five km length will be on the Tetulia and Kalabadar rivers. Through this, Bhola will be associated with the mainland.

Bhola-3 constituency MP Nurunnabi Chowdhury Shawon, bridge ministry secretary Belayet Hossain, food ministry secretary Md. Sahabuddin Ahmed, Land Secretary Maksudur Rahman, Bhola DC Masud Alam Siddique, SP Sarker Md. Kaiser, Sadar Upazila Chairman Mosharraf Hossain, and Municipal Mayor Mohammad Moniruzzaman were present in the meeting.
