Brazil’s Robinho to play for Bashundhara Kings

Bashundhara Kings signed a one-year contract with Brazilian winger Robson Azevedo da Silva Robinho. The 25-year-old footballer is playing for Fluminense, the famous club in Brazil. However, he was on loan for Agua Santa, a top club of Sao Paolo last season. The five-time World Cup-winning footballer will set foot in Dhaka next month.
Robinho’s first test will be the AFC Cup in October. Bangladesh’s Bashundhara Kings are in Group E of the South Asian region along with TC Sports of Maldives, Maziya Sports & Recreation and Chennai City of India.
Meanwhile, Bashundhara defeated TC Sports of Maldives 5-1 in the first match of this international tournament. The remaining five matches will be played in the Maldives due to coronavirus.
The next five matches of Bashundhara are on October 23, 26 and 29 and November 1 and 4. They are scheduled to start training in September. Of the four foreign footballers, only Argentina’s Barcos and Brazil’s Robinho are finalists. However, who will be the remaining two is yet to be finalized.
The 25-year-old star can also play 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 as a central attacking midfielder or right-winger.
Noted that Bashundhara Kings were looking for a forward after Daniel Colindres of Costa Rica left the club. But now the Kings got someone to form a forward pairing with Argentina’s Hernan Barcos, as a result, the football fans will see the Brazil-Argentina pair in Bangladesh football.
