Brazil continues Copa America winning streak

Brazil continued their winning streak through Copa America, eking out a 2-1 victory in a heated match against Colombia.
Latin American football giant Brazil faced Colombia in Group-B’s 4th match on Thursday morning local time at Estádio Nilton Santos in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
At the very end of the game, Brazil used the extra 10 minutes of the 2nd half, i.e., in just 100 minutes, to score the winning goal. With this, Tite’s disciples secured the last eight by becoming the group champion with the third consecutive victory.
Celesaora won the Copa America Group B match 2-1 on Thursday morning. Luis Diaz gave Colombia the lead in the 10th minute with a magnificent bicycle-kick goal by Luis Diaz.
Although holding Brazil throughout the 1st half, they could not continue to defend in the 2nd half, resulting in a taste of defeat to Brazil in the end.
In the 78th minute, Firmino finally found the equalizer with an authoritative header that sped past Colombian keeper David Ospina. Later in the extra 10 minutes into stoppage time, when Casemiro headed a Neymar corner past a distracted Colombia defense to give Brazil the win.
In Group B, Brazil secured the top position with 9 points in three matches. Colombia is in two with 4 points. Peru also scored 4 points in three matches. They are in third place behind in goal difference. By the same token, Ecuador is at number four and Venezuela at number five with 2 points in three matches.
