Boys in GPA 5, girls ahead in pass rate

In the Higher Secondary (HSC) and equivalent examinations 2019, the passing percentage of the girls overtopped boys. This year, girls' pass rate in HSC and equivalent in 76.44 percent, of them 22,710 got GPA-5. On the other hand, boys passed 71.66 percent and of them, 24 thousand 576 received GPA-5 received. That is, the boys are lagging behind the pass rate rather than girls, but ahead in terms of getting the GPA-5.

Education minster Dr. Dipu handed over the copy of the result to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at 10  am on Wednesday. During this time, the chairman of various education boards also attended the education ministry.

A total of13 lakh 36 thousand and 629 candidates appeared in HSC and equivalent examinations from 8,985 educational institutions under 8 general education boards, madrasa and technical boards.  While the examination was started on April 1 and ends on 12th May. After May 12, the practical test began and ended on 21st May.

Meanwhile, a total of 9 lakh 88 thousand 172 students passed in the exam. Among them, the pass rate of the general education boards is 71.85 percent and 41,807 got GPA-5. Which was 6 lakh 91 thousand 958 last year and 25,562 got GPA-5. As a result, GPA-5 and pass rate increased.

On the other hand, a total of 76 thousand 381 student pass from the Madrasah Board while pass rate is 88.65 percent. Of them 2,243 student got GPA-5. In the technical education board, 1 lakh 2thousand and 715 passed the exams with a total of 3236 GPA 5. The pass rate is 82.66 percent
